I was looking back through my colouring journal and decided to re-colour some of the earlier pieces so I could mark my progress. Image is 'Sounds of the Ocean' by Sureya on DeviantArt, coloured with copics.
And here is my old version:
What can I say? Progress. :D
and clearly my photography skills have improved too ;)
Sharing a new project using Overdue by Saturated Canary. This is the best pregnancy sentiment I have ever seen! Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pearls were a gift from a card swap. An unusual colour, but a perfect match for this project! Base paper is Lost & Found by My Mind's Eye, and the coordinating papers are from my scrap box.
There was too much white space around the image, so I tried something new (for me), and stamped and inked around the edges using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a rubber stamp Butterfly Swirl by Micky Choo/Stamp-It.
Saturated Canary is hosting a colouring challenge in celebration of Summer. I have used Beach Pretty and some of my favourite Copic combos to help me get back in the groove. Papers are from my scrap box, flowers and bling are from Wild Orchid Crafts. If you like my creation, please vote for me by clicking on the "*Like?" link underneath my picture over at the SC page. I am entry number 37.
Today is the start of a new and ambitious endeavour by Amy Tsuruta of Tsuruta Designs - Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Here is how it works: create a *new* project (no back linking) with a holiday coffee or other favourite hot holiday drink theme, post it on your blog, Facebook page, Flickr gallery, Splitcoast Stampers etc. and then link up at this post on Amy's blog. Simple.
Amy has rounded up 25 fantastic sponsors, and everyone who links up an eligible project will be in with a chance to win the fantastic prizes. Be sure to hop around and look at everyone's creations as many people are offering additional blog candy on their individual blogs. If that wasn't enough, Amy will also be awarding 5 prizes to people that comment on ALL of the linked blogs! The hop ends on Sunday, December 14th @ 11:59 pm pacific (Monday 15th Dec @ 5:59pm AEST (Brisbane, Australia)).
And now to my project, featuring Mad Hatter from Kraftin Kimmie. I don't own many rubber stamps, but I do love this one. I find him to be extremely versatile and especially good for masculine cards. He is coloured up with Copics. Papers are all scraps from my stash and everything has been inked with Walnut Distress Ink. The little curled up banner is from Graphic 45 'Apothecary' DP.

Welcome to a new challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. This week's theme is a sketch hosted by Becky. I love this one as it is nice and simple, with plenty of space to add your own flair.
For my project I have used Melaina and half of her matching sentiment. She was coloured with copics, distressed and popped up on foam dots. The awesome DP is 'Firefly' by Prima. I love all the designs in this set, but yoou really need a CAS layout to show off the patterns to best effect. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, but the teeny tiny rose (~2mm) is a random ring-in from a local craft show. Make sure you join in with this week's challenge for a chance to win a $10 gift card to the store.
Today is my last post as Guest DT for Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, and I wanted to thank Kim for being a wonderful, generous host, and the team for being a welcoming and friendly bunch. I have definitely enjoyed my stay!

Today I am showcasing a project using snowball fairy:
...and it's a shaker card! Hooray! I'm going to share a couple of extra pictures today so you can see the whole effect, so brace your bandwidth! Here is the finished product using Bo Bunny Elf Magic papers, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, and a few Kaisercraft rhinestones.
I kept this piece of acetate from a small package of embellishments as it seemed perfect for a shaker card. I am sure there are much better tutorials out there in crafty land, but here a couple of action shots of how I put it together. Since the acetate forms a little box about 10mm high, there was no need to use foam tape to create a recess for the shaker 'bits'.
Adhere your image to the card base
Carefully pour shaker 'bits' (I used star confetti) into the middle of the image, and stick the acetate box on top of the whole things using XpressIt high tack tape.
Cut an aperture in your DP so the acetate fits through, then decorate!
Hi everyone, welcome back to day three of our November Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks. Have you been enjoying the peeks so far? Today we are sharing the newest set by artist Cheryl Grant. This set called 'Snow Much Love' and features Lexi, Lucas and Lulu having some winter fun, and includes five main images plus nine sentiments.
Here is my project featuring Lucas. I coloured him up with Copics as always, but this time I really tried to capture the reflected light with my light source, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
